If you’ve ever been camping, you’ve most likely had a couple of s’mores, those delicious mixtures of melted marshmallow, chocolate, and graham crackers. But while normal s’mores are fine for kids, you probably want something a bit more grown-up. Thanks to the huge amount of cannabis edibles ideas available online, you can easily convert your favourite childhood s’mores recipe into your favourite adult s’mores THC edibles.
S’mores are Great
S’mores are great because they combine the best flavours and textures into one delicious bite-size package. One of the best things about s’mores is that they’re a great way to get crafty while in the wilderness as you lovingly construct each individual s’more. But you don’t have to wait for your next camping trip to enjoy them. Our adult s’mores recipes below can be quickly made up right in the kitchen.
While you can make s’mores using marshmallows right out of the bag, there’s something better about toasting them first. They provide a warm, gooey, smoky centre that’s surrounded by just-melted chocolate, and the entire package is lovingly held together by a crunchy and crispy graham cracker that gives just a bit of extra flavour and crunch. You can easily see why they’re a campfire favourite.
How to Make Adult S’mores
When you’re making adult s’mores with THC, you have two options. You can either use your own weed to infuse the s’more with THC, or you can use some pre-made weed edibles in your recipe. Both work just as well depending on what type of flavour you want to get.
Let’s look at two simple recipes, each showcasing a different method.
Adult S’mores with Marijuana
You’ll need graham crackers, Nutella, marshmallows, and about a gram of finely ground cannabis flowers per s’more.
Make a sandwich of two graham crackers, a healthy dollop of Nutella, a marshmallow, and the weed. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes at 300F until the marshmallow melts and the graham crackers are toasted. Then eat while still warm and enjoy.
Infused Dark Chocolate and Strawberry Cannabis Adult S’mores
For this recipe, you’ll need graham crackers, marshmallows, strawberries, and THC-infused dark chocolate.
Make a sandwich of graham crackers, one block of dark chocolate, a thinly-sliced strawberry, and the marshmallow. Toast in the oven until the chocolate has melted and the marshmallow is delicious and gooey. You can cover the s’mores while they bake in order to protect the chocolate from burning. Lightly wrapping them in aluminium foil will help save your from a sticky clean up job afterwards.
You can also add the chocolate after the s’more has been baked if you’re worried about wasting any of it.
Vegans have it tough, especially when it comes to desserts. Obviously, the two recipes above aren’t vegan-friendly, but luckily, there are still options we haven’t explored. There are surprisingly many vegan edible recipes for s’mores that you can use. Or you can make your own infusions to make s’mores.
If you’re willing to make your own cannabis-infused Nutella, then you, too, can enjoy getting baked by the campfire.
To make the Nutella, you’ll need:
- 1 1/2 cups plain unsalted hazelnuts
- 2-4 grams of ground marijuana
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/2 cup full-fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup 70% vegan dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
First, roast your hazelnuts in the oven for around 10 minutes at 350F. Then, cool the oven down to 240F and combine the coconut oil and finely ground weed in an oven-safe bowl. Place that in the oven for around 30 minutes for the THC to decarboxylate.
You can then strain the plant matter and retain the coconut oil.
Grind your hazelnuts into a fine paste in a food processor and add in melted vegan chocolate and coconut milk. Add the rest of the ingredients into the food processor and blend until you have something that resembles Nutella.
You can then use this vegan THC-infused Nutella and combine it with vegan-friendly crackers and marshmallows (as described in the recipe above) to make vegan-friendly weed s’mores. Serve and enjoy!
